The Center for Democracy in Deaf America (CDDA) is hosting an upcoming debate and panel event:
“Why Vote? How to Vote?”
Held tonight, September 23 from 6:15-8 p.m.,
streaming on the Gallaudet Facebook page.
The debate portion will feature student debaters on Gallaudet’s first-ever debate team, as well as Dean Rashid, Associate Provost Horejes, and Chief Operating Officer Lacy as the judges.
The panel will feature Zainab Alkesbi, Kelby Brick, Joseph Santini, Tricia Alleyne, Leila Hanuamai, and more; most of whom are Gallaudet alumni and/or are current employees on Kendall Green.
This is truly a collaborative event as we will hear from representatives from:
- Deaf Poor People’s Campaign,
- National Association of the Deaf,
- Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc., and
- Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center
