We have several updates to share with you from Human Resources:
Effective March 16, payroll deductions for parking will be suspended until further notice. A special thanks to the Department of Public Safety for their willingness to stop this deduction. You will no longer see the parking deduction beginning on the April 7 pay date.
Remote Work Resources
As more employees are moving into a remote work environment, this experience is new for many. To support this change, a Working Remote at a Glance document was developed to provide quick tips to remote employees. Other resources are available to support employees and their supervisors:

If you plan to work remotely, it is important to complete the Remote Working Agreement with your supervisor. A detailed instruction on how to send it through Adobe eSign was shared by Human Resources on March 17. If you cannot locate the instruction, please send an email to email@example.com.

Human Resources will host a live panel for Gallaudet employees on Monday, March 23 at noon. The panel will include:

We recognize there is a group of employees whose positions would not allow them to work remotely. They should continue to come to campus as long as it
is open. Supervisors are encouraged to temporarily reassign non-remote workers, where possible, with new responsibilities that can be performed remotely. Employees are asked to be flexible in accepting assignments in these cases to ensure productivity and safety.
Gallaudet cares about your well-being. If you are still working on campus, and you are experiencing symptoms of illness, please inform your supervisor immediately and do not come to campus. Depending on the nature of your illness and your job responsibilities, please work with your supervisor to make up hours in the same workweek or to work remotely if you can. If you are unable to make up the hours or work remotely, there is an option to carry a negative annual balance for up to 15 days.
Our notary service will be suspended starting Friday, March 20 until further notice.
Employee Assistance Program
We understand this is a stressful time for many. We want to remind you that the Employee Assistance Program is available for our employees. To set up an appointment, please call 800-607-1522. If needed, EAP will provide you with the names of providers who are fluent in American Sign Language. More information can be found on our website.
Office Hours for Human Resources
Human Resources, including the Payroll Office, will continue to remain open as long as the campus remains open. The office is located in College Hall. The office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday. However, we encourage you to contact the office through email or VP instead. The contact information is below:
