To our Gallaudet student-athletes:
On Wednesday, March 11, it was announced that Gallaudet will deliver all classes remotely beginning after spring break, from March 23 through May 4.
While the risk to our community remains low at this time, this could change quickly. Our precautionary actions will help limit potential exposure to COVID-19 and enhance our ability to manage and/or isolate any suspected or confirmed cases that may occur at the university, and therefore limit the spread of the virus both on campus and in the region.
As a result, it has been determined that:
Gallaudet’s baseball, softball and men’s and women’s track and field seasons are canceled, including spring break trips to Florida and North Carolina.
No further competition and practices will take place for traditional and non-traditional sports.
Gallaudet’s Intramural program is suspended at this time.
All student-athletes are encouraged to leave campus for spring break and stay off campus to finish your education online with the rest of the GU student body.
Please know that we continue to work with University officials frequently to review, update and communicate plans. This is an extremely fluid situation and all guidelines are subject to change as events change. We will continue to update the community regularly to keep you informed.
