July 13, 2020

The 2020-2021 academic year is coming in seven weeks! I want to inform you about whats happening and our plans.

On June 1, President Cordano announced that we would sequence through three phases as we restore our community on campus. We are still in the first phase of this three-phase model. Phase 1 requires primarily remote working, teaching, and learning operations. Therefore, all classroom instruction will be delivered remotely this fall. Academic Affairs will provide more information early this week.

Student Affairs will also communicate this week. They will explain some of our student programs and services, including Residence Life and Athletics, and answer many of your questions. We won’t all come together on campus but working to make the student experience as authentic & positive as possible.

In the coming days and weeks, you will receive communications about public health and safety, the workforce, and campus operations and facilities. Clerc Center will communicate with its students, families, teachers, and staff.

Here are some things you should know:

Our overall goal is to open different parts of our community and campus in a safe way — We recognize GU is unique and our mission of bilingualism- important.

Please watch for more communications, starting this week and continuing through July and August.

Be safe and healthy!

Sincerely,

Brandi Rarus
