Dear Gallaudet and Clerc Center staff:

Human Resources, in collaboration with the Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), the Organization for Equity for Staff of Color (OESOC), and the Gallaudet Staff Council (GSC), is hosting two training programs for staff. The training programs will be provided by Victorica Monroe, ’16 & G-’20.

The first program will focus on Unconscious Bias and Racial Oppression. The second program will focus on a facilitated discussion for white staff, who will recall their lives about their attitude, behaviors, and interaction with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and how they use their whiteness during their lifetime. Please review the Human Resources website for more information, including the dates and times.

Due to limited availability, staff must submit an application. The applications will be reviewed by HR, OESOC, and GSC to ensure that there is a diverse group of participants. The flyers and application forms can be found under the Human Resources website. The application deadline is Monday, September 14 at noon ET.
